I am soo excited to be able to offer Vibrational Sound Therapy (VST) to my practice! VST is a vibrational sound based therapy done through the use of hand made finely tuned Himalayan Singing Bowls which are placed on the body to produce sound and vibration to reduce and decrease the effects of stress on the body and mind.
Physically: As the body absorbs waves of vibration into the tissues you will notice reduced muscle tension & decreased blood pressure. It also slows down breathing and your heart rate and as the arteries expand through the vibrations you will have increased blood flow to all your major muscles. In this relaxed state the body is able to repair itself. The immune sytem is at its best when we are relaxed.
Mentally: Through sound the brain wave patterns change and you may go into an Alpha Wave Pattern which is like pre- sleep or daydreaming. You may also experience a Theta Brain Wave Pattern which is associated with meditation, sleep & deep relaxation. If you go into a Delta Brain Wave Pattern this is just a deeper form of sleep. The client can drift in and out of all of these patterns as bowls are placed in different areas of the body.
Clients I have worked with report a feeling of complete relaxation, many fall asleep or phase in and out through the session. I have had reports of clients sleeping better at night as well as reduced pain, stress and anxiety levels.
